As a whole this mutation requires an intimate of the entire game something not required by any other specific element players will interact with on 1_1 let alone the rest of the pre-loop experience. Players must come to terms with how the mutation works, then form a list of mobs spanning the entire game of what is a viable target and finally hone the skills required to tag their specific victims without taking additional damage. In reality the work required to use the mutation is surprisingly daunting. While some may be furious that I implied that they have little skill, they still have a point about the mutation. It does damage without cost at a very high rate with the only requirement being proximity to the target.

The mutation excels at killing some of the most hated enemies in the game IDPD, assassins, and Yetis to some degree. In reality Gamma Guts is only like Sharp Teeth or Blast Armor when used about as poorly as possible. The experience most describe is taking the mutation once, walking into a random mob, dying, and never touching the mutation. The problem is that people suddenly don't like the mutation when they are not in possession of the required skill.

A concept that on paper is highly supported. In reality Gamma Guts is a high skill level mutation.

I have spoken on this subject before, but for the benefit of the forum I will cover it again. Accusations describing it as the worst thing ever have been popular when in reality it has mostly gone misunderstood. For quite some time the community has made Gamma Guts to be a major failing of the game. A while back I made a post about a post about Lucky Shot and how it needed to be reconceptualized this post will go further than that.
